SUPPORT THE CHILDREN

How to help

Send us an email if you would like to volunteer for any events coming up! We would also love to hear any suggestions of how we can help our local youth!

Third Annual Sporting Clays SG
We are preparing for the Third Annual Kindness from Case Sporting Clays Shoot! Our goal for the 2022-2023 school year to provide a minimum of 100 school supply packs across the four county primary schools. We have already surpassed that goal and provided 125 school supply packs! The funds raised through this event also provide warm clothes and Christmas gifts for our local youth!  Check the events tab for registration and more information!

Award winner

The Kindness from Case Memorial Foundation was recently awarded the 2019 Civic Organization of the Year by the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce. We are honored to receive this award and would like to thank all of our donors and supporters for helping us reach our goals!

Graduation Caps

During 2021, The Foundation was extremely active as we tried to bounce back from 2020. We were not able to have our main fundraiser in 2020, but that did not stop us from being as active as possible.

February and March were full of work planning and organizing Scrambling for Scholarships. The scramble is held at Tri-County golf club and is followed by an awards ceremony and luncheon. The event directly benefits the scholarship program.

The event was held in April, and raised enough money to cover all 14 scholarships given out to Tri-County students. We also were able to make a sizeable donation to Chad Walker’s family who was killed in the line of duty shortly before the scramble.  Immediately following the scramble, scholarship applications started rolling in! We started the process of sorting and selecting the winners from each school in Freestone, Limestone, and Leon Counties.

May was a busy month filled with senior awards ceremonies, scholarship ceremonies, and graduations. We were able to have a board member at every ceremony to present the scholarship, which was a feat! The foundation also sponsored Lemonade Day, originally scheduled for May 1.

In June we presented the Kindness from Case Buckle at the Freestone County Fair. The winner is chosen by the fair board. This award was not based on the animal or showmanship, but on the character of the showman. The only requests we had were that the recipient of the buckle will have a spirit of kindness, a good attitude, and a willingness to help others.

July seemed like a month to catch up as we prepared to enter August with a bang!

August started the preparation for the Sporting Clays Shoot Fundraiser.  We started from scratch this year and built an entire course from a grown up pasture. The entire month was filled with hard work, organization, lots of practice and a boat load of preparation. While planning the shoot, we also donated school supplies for 100+ students in Freestone County. Our goal was 40, and it continues to grow each year.

September was the month of the Big Shoot! It was a major success and included donations and support from several local charitable organizations.

October and November were spent writing thank you notes and looking for more ways to give back after the success of the shoot. We sponsored the Voices for Children Golf Tournament, also held at Tri-County. We reached out to a local family who has a child with cancer. We sent a care package to the family and set up a monthly recurring donation to them. This money is to help offset the cost of travel and any other expenses related to the young lady’s fight against cancer.

We closed out the year with our annual distribution of coats and warm clothes to Freestone County children in need. Our warm clothes project was able to serve 90 Freestone County children.

In the future, we will continue our current efforts and look for more ways to help our local youth!

Third Annual Sporting Clays Shoot is October 8, 2022!
